Menifee Valley Humane Society is a registered 501 c(3) non-profit, all volunteer, no-kill organization dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation and finding forever homes for abandoned and neglected animals in our community.
We do not have a shelter and rely entirely on our volunteer foster families to provide safe loving homes for animals until they are adopted.
The Annual Board meeting of the Menifee Valley Humane Society and election of Directors and Officers will be held on Friday, June 28th, 2013. The meeting is open to all MVHS members.

Qualifications of Directors: From the MVHS Bylaws adopted May 25, 2011:
Section 5.4 Qualifications of Directors: A candidate for director must meet all the following qualifications at the time of appointment and throughout his or her term of office:
- At least 18 years of age
- Has held membership in good standing in MVHS or in another formally organized humane society or animal rescue organization deemed by the Board of Directors to provide sufficient experience
- Agrees to be bound by and support the purposes in the MVHS Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws and the Policies and Procedures Manual of MVHS, as adopted and amended from time to time pursuant to Section 6.12 of these Bylaws
- Has no record of being convicted, adjudged, or otherwise recorded as guilty by a final judgment of any court of competent jurisdiction of (1) a felony, or (2) a crime involving moral turpitude, or (3) on a determination by any court, or official of the State of California, any County, City, or quasi governmental agency of violating any law, rule or regulations

Election Procedures: From MVHS Bylaws adopted May 25, 2011
Section 5.3 Appointment The officers are appointed by majority vote of the Board of Directors at its annual meeting from among the directors on the Board of Directors after the vacant director positions are filled.
Section 6.7 Election of Directors The vacant director positions will be filled by majority vote of the Board of Directors at its annual meeting from qualified candidates who have submitted an application to the Board of Directors as provided in the Policies and Procedures as adopted and amended from time to time pursuant to Section 6.12 of these Bylaws. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes up to the number of vacancies to be filled are elected.
